It is so nice to be able to post news about our local economy growing when so much of the nation is in financial turmoil. Today was the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Heinz factory. This factory will bring approximately 350 jobs to the Florence area. My “flosspy” reports that the governor was even on hand today as well as local politicians (and hopeful future politicians). It used to be that Greenville got all the business, so I am proud of our “commerce team” that has obviously been working overtime!
