I rode by today and saw that their marquee states “Reopening in October.” I don’t know if this means the actual Creek Ratz is reopening or if someone else will be opening in that location. They are hiring according to the sign. My personal theory on Creek Ratz was that it was too expensive for this market– especially for lunch. Tourists at the beach expect to pay a little more… Florentines on a lunch hour? Not so much. I liked the restaurant though and I usually had a good experience there.

I understand that Creekrats actually closed it over the summer to concentrate on their “tourist” locations, but that it was always in the plan for them to reopen in the fall in Florence. It was just a financial decision they made. It is still the same people, same ownership!
