I have always thought that Florence has some excellent fundraising events. We have dedicated planners, good concepts, catchy themes. Honestly? I want to go to all of them. Realistically? I can’t afford to go to many. I know that has to be on the minds of a lot of would-be attendees right now. As a result, it is going to affect fundraising efforts and put a dent in these organizations budgets. It appears that some will try to continue to cater to an elite group of super donors, while others will have lower entry fees and attempt to appeal to more people.
What about you? What fundraising events are on your “Must do” list?

Probably won’t be going this year due to finances but the Heart Ball has always been my favorite. While the ticket is pricey, you usually get your moneys worth.
As a former gala planner and attendee, I have discovered that senior citizenship and the fixed income thereunto has put most of these wonderful “mixers” out of my social activity range.
The Arts Council always has great a “DO”, and the Symphony Guild is always a winner. Love the oysters at the Friends of the Museum.
Maybe they will start an Economy Class ticket for those of us who would love to contribute but to whom $50+ a ticket is a bit pricey.
The Florence Area Literacy Council will be hosting “A Novel Event 2009″ on March 28th, 6:30 pm at the Florence Country Club. It’s an evening loaded with FUN….a unique fundraiser for sure!! A huge costume party for adults.
