If you are looking for something to do indoors this chilly weekend, the South Carolina Dance Theatre is presenting “Sleeping Beauty” at the Florence Little Theater.
The SCDT presents The Sleeping Beauty in Florence on March 13th, 14th and 15 and in Hartsville on March 21st. Under the direction of Susan Rowe, the Company continues the magic of its 31st Season.Full length performances of Sleeping Beauty will be in Florence on Friday, March 13th, at 7:30 pm, on Sunday, March 15th at 3:00 pm, and in Hartsville on Saturday, March 21st at 7:30 pm.
As a special educational outreach, the SCDT will present Sleeping Beauty’s Wedding in Florence on Saturday, March 14th, at 3:00 pm and in Hartsville on Saturday, March 21st at 2:00 pm. The Wedding Party is an abbreviated version of the ballet, perfectly suited to the attention span of children yet sophisticated enough for the most discerning adult. Both of these performances include admission to Sleeping Beauty’s Garden Party immediately following the performance. In Florence, the party will be at the theater and in Hartsville, the party will be held at First Baptist Church. Refreshments will be served and dancers in costumes will be presented. Cameras are welcome to capture the excitment of the Garden Party.

Thanks so much for posting this !!! My 3-year-old and I were looking for something to do today and this was wonderful ! The tea party after the performance was quite crowded, but we were able to take a picture with Sleeping Beauty, which was perfect. Thanks again !
