This Friday, June 5, is the second Florence after Five! If you missed the first one, you really should try to make this one. (Come on, please get out of the box and do something fun and different!) There is free admission and lots of people had their kids at the last one, so it is fun for the whole family!
I saw our fabulous City Workers out getting the Plaza ready this morning. (Across from Central United Methodist Church on Irby Street.)

The Band Villanova will be playing. Check out their Myspace and listen to their music before Friday, you will definitely enjoy seeing them live.

The fun starts at 5:30 and keeps going until 7:30. There will be a great crowd with a lot of fun people. The rain location is the FDTC parking deck on Cheves Street.

Actually, the fun starts at 4pm with the 7th Annual PEE DEE IDOL competition! Thirty of the area’s best singers go head to head for big cash prizes! If you want to sing, act fast, and register at the Qantum Communications offices in the BTC Building, 181 E. Evans St., Florence. Registration ends at noon Friday or when all 30 slots are taken, whichever comes first!

Those who attended last time will appreciate the fact that they have moved the stage location so that we won’t be staring into the setting sun! AND Victor’s is also providing a wine garden for the non-beer drinkers!

There will be food vendors at this event but people should also be aware of the new Thai restaurant on Dargan St. right across the street from the Plaza. It is called Thai House 2 & Sushi Bar.

That Thai restaurant is awesome. Going to Florence After Five, and then out to eat at Thai House… that would be a great date right there (*secretly hopes her boyfriend is reading*).

It was really awesome last time- everyone should go. And it’s great that they’ve moved the stage as well. Really looking forward to this :) .
