Lowes Foods sent me an email in response to my inquiry about a store coming to Florence:

Currently, Lowes Foods does not have immediate plans to build a store in the Florence area. However, we are always evaluating various markets for potential locations to better serve our customers. We will gladly forward your interest in supporting a Lowes Foods store in your neighborhood to our (Name redacted) Director of Real Estate for consideration.

I have to say they answered me really quickly. Perhaps we all need to let them know we want a Lowes Foods here!

Florence competes with Myrtle Beach area for regional stores. This is sad~
But didn’t the Florence Morning News print an article about a month ago saying that the Lowes food chain wanted some sort of waiver on a piece of property they had purchased at the corner of West Palmetto (US 76) and Ebenezer Road? Oh right, it was in the FloMoNo.
If not Lowes- call in Publix!!! They are still expanding into other areas and is a great supermarket chain.
