You can always check the events calendar for some ideas on Things to Do. (Also check out the tabs at the top of the page.)

There are two events this weekend that I want to spotlight:

1) Bark at the Park over in Darlington: SCNow has the details
. The Flossette also posted about this event.
From SCNow:

Come out to Byerly Park in Hartsville on Saturday morning for some tail-wagging fun at the Second Annual Bark at the Park.
Beginning 8 a.m., competitive racers, families or pet owners can participate in the 5K run/walk, which covers 3.1 miles. The USATF certified course starts at the circle track at Byerly Park and is part of the 2009 Palmetto Grand Prix. Teams from Darlington County schools are also invited to compete.

2. Tapas for Tennis: I have ALWAYS wanted to go to this event. From the enewsletter:

Tickets are available for the 2nd Annual Tapas 4 Tennis event to be held Saturday, August 29th from 6:30pm until 10:30pm in the Ballroom of the Florence Civic Center. You will also be able to pay at the door with check or cash. Cost of a ticket is $45 and includes food from local chefs such as Laurie Crouse (Top Hat), Vince and Maura Roland, Kenny and Page Williams (Slice It), Jimmy Gregg & family, Bill Travis, Ci Ci’s Pizza, and Nick Townsend (Katrina’s Catering). We also have a few FTA members cooking several of their favorite sweets for a table sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. We would like to thank Pepsi, Arbor One Financial, and Stifel, Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy Breeden, Nicolas & Company for sponsoring this year’s event…

Keep looking for the beautiful Niki as well… her parents are very sad!
