Busy weekend

in Things to do in Florence, SC

The weekend started off with the Children’s consignment sale at the Civic Center. There were definitely some deals to be found there.

After the consignment sale was the Pee Dee Plant and Flower Festival at the Farmer’s Market. We always have a blast at this event in the fall and the spring. I didn’t get any mums, but they were BEAUTIFUL! We had fair food for lunch, saw lots of friends, the children climbed on tractors… what more could you ask for on a fall day?

(This tractor has a/c and a radio. Pretty sure I would need that if I was a farmer.)

Isn’t this adorable? (I bet you never heard that about a pepper plant before!) I REALLY wanted to take it home with me. I may just have to go back and get it… though I really don’t cook with peppers all that often.

Of course– don’t forget the PUMPKINS!!

I did ask for more though and wanted a little Christmas in my day. I found that at Merry Marketplace (Back at the civic center)! There were Christmas trees and vendors galore. It was a smaller space– but there were actually more vendors. I think that is a perfect combination– less walking and more shopping. I did find some good gifts– and some great Florence vendors. Tulips and Toadstools might just be my new BFF4ever. I eyed some things at the Toy Shop that I might just need in the future, and some great bows by reader Julie Williamson.

Also, who makes these time out chairs? I love them and I think I took the picture because it was a Florence vendor, but didn’t get the name.

Whew. I need a nap just from thinking about it all again!

Remember to tell them you read about it on theflossip.com!! Thanks for reading!

Hey Flossip!! Hope you were able to get some of my bows–sadly this was the last year for Bailey’s Bows!! Also I’m the one who makes the Time Out Chairs as well! I was over at my other booth Homemade Gourmet all weekend–sounds like your weekend was a blast and I LOVE those pepper trees too–how cute!!!

We bought pepper plants from Forest Lake a few weeks ago…they advised us not to eat the peppers.
