While the sweltering heat may be getting all of us down a little there is still plenty to do in Florence.
I told you about the “America on Stage” performance that will be going on at the Florence Little Theater.
The Compassionate Friends of the Pee Dee will be having a walk on June 19 in support of families that have lost a child. More information here.
Date & Time: Saturday, June 19, 2010 – Registration starting at 10:00 a.m.
Two-mile walk begins at 11:00 a.m.
No registration fee. Donations are welcome.
Location: Rail Trail at Ebenezer Park, 842 S. Ebenezer Rd., Florence, SC
There is also a “Waggin’ and Shaggin’” Beach Music Event to benefit the Darlington County Humane Society. It will be held at the Darlington Raceway.
Entertainment by The Rick Strickland Band featuring Cammy Award Winning Songwriter and Artist Rick Strickland and Local Radio Host of “At the Beach” Dan E. Lockemy of Sunny 105.5.
Tickets available at Darlington Chamber of Commerce, Bella Domani, the shelter, Hartsville Chamber of Commerce, Burry Bookstore and Holland House. $25 in advance, $30 at the gate
