Eat out at Chilis in Florence and they will donate 10% of your tab to the American Heart Association! So you eat out and Chili’s pays AHA!! What a GREAT way to give back!. Elvis Tribute at the Florence Little Theater. Elvis will be in the building on Friday, June 25th at 7:00pm. Rick Wade has been performing many years now, paying homage to the one and only Elvis Aaron Presley, and highly regarded as one of the best Elvis Tribute Artist in the country. Tickets go on sale Monday and are $15.00 per person.

This is something I am so excited about: Magic City Pride Litter Sweep and Cookout. Thanks to everyone that is working on this, cleaning up Florence is something that I am certainly passionate about. It is from 9 am -12pm. Meet behind Harrington Vision Center. The person that picks up the most litter will win a prize. We are kicking off the inaugural Downtown Florence Anti-Litter Crusade on Saturday, June 26th. We will have awards and a cookout for all volunteers directly afterwards.

Since 1995, Darlington County has been the focus of a collaborative archaeological project between SCDNR, USC Lancaster and the Diachronic Research Foundation. Known as the Johannes Kolb Site, this tract of preserved land has yielded oblects and information which reveal 12,000 years of human habitation on the Great Pee Dee River. Come explore this unique educational exhibit and incover our incredible history at the Florence Museum.
