Last week’s dream house was more traditional and in the center of town. (Same rules apply: This is my selection, I get no endorsement from any realtors (I doubt they are reading this website), and Burt Jordan is the website I use because I can search by neighborhood (Hint to other realtors, that ROCKS.)).
Before I get to the dream house… what the heck is up with this listing? Have a lovely algae infested pool with your house?! I guess that is a flipper’s dream house though.
Dream house of the week is tough because I am really dreaming about being ON the lake in Forest Lake. Not across from the lake or down the street from the lake, but ON the lake. So I really only see two options in Forest Lake proper: Option one and option two. Option 3 is across the street from the lake but is just so ME. I just worry that as I sit on my front porch and stare at the lake I would be coveting my neighbors ON the lake… which is just a bad idea. I would hate to be on some version of “Snapped” because I could no longer take it that I had to LOOK at the lake every day and not be able to be on the lake. I would have to have parties in the front yard… and well, that would not work either. It really is a great house though. I would even buy it with the furniture that is inside, since I am buying all of this with my imaginary money.
Since I need to be on the lake I will choose this one though:
I don’t love the garage on the front of the house, but in living on the water the front of the house is technically the back, right? (Note to TeamGinfrida: Please don’t pay attention to my grammar today.)(That applies to my 8th grade English teacher as well, wherever she is now.) They need to paint that turquoise room to help it sell, but that is an easy fix.
Which one of the three would you choose?

Trust me when I say Option 1 is a little deceptive in this listing. I have been in this house recently. It has 4 bedrooms*, which is fabulous, but that’s all it has. The living space is so small! They definitely used a long lens on that photo. And the layout of the house is really bizarre. I felt like the entire inside needed to be shuffled.
I love option 3! It’s just so classically beautiful. I think I’d be ok with not having the lake in my backyard.
*There can technically be 6 bedrooms, depending on how the rooms are used.
I looked at this one last year…the pics are much better than the actual house…it needs work …and there is no air conditioning in the room next to the kitchen that faces the lake…the house looks like there have been several odd additions the living room is dark and on the far side of the house is a row of bedrooms that reminded me of a hotel or hospital…just oddly put together…
LOL, I am laughing because we actually looked at 2 of these (Option 1 and and Option 3) in April as we were making our decision about the move here. Love seeing your picks of the week!!!
