I learned from the FLT website that Margaret Wright formed a group called The Community Players in 1923, and that’s when it all began.

I learned that the theatre runs off it’s volunteers and that anyone can get involved in multiple aspects of their productions through volunteering.

The Box Office is open Mon-Fri 9:30-5:00 (also one hour before each show). You can order tickets over the phone. This fact may come in handy for those of us that don’t win the tickets ;)

Florence little theater offers a great Childres workshop that is not only fun but affordable. My Lucy participated for years and loved every minute of it!

The Children’s Workshops are held Monday or Thursday for kids in grades 2-8. What a great opportunity for kids to learn the theatre!

A significant contribution to the theatre came in the formation of FLT Singers and Dancers in 1992.

The FLT is one of finest treasures of Florence, SC. It’s worth is defined by the talent that is continually on display, and makes every member of the audience very proud.

I just learned that FLT would “go dark” without volunteers. I always thought I had to be an art or drama major to be a part of the theatre. There are many volunteer opportunities including positions like usher, prop assistance, even director. These are just a few of the ones listed. The website has a volunteer sign up sheet.

I already knew this, but the FLT Children’s Workshop is awesome!!! My oldest child has had a great time learning and developing a love for theatre. :) .

I learned that FLT is available to rent…very good information for me. I am always looking for halls to rent for my SCA group. :-)

Even if I didn’t win the tickets I still feel like a winner, I am calling them now to get those details :)

FLT rents it’s facility for your special occasion. There are various spaces available, including the Rehearsal Hall and courtyard, suitable for almost any event.
