I always feel like Labor Day weekend is the official end of summer/welcome to fall weekend. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not on board with that plan. What are your Labor Day weekend plans? Mine are pretty low key this year. I may make a day trip to the Beach for lunch at the Sea Captains House though. Its an easy drive there and back…
or maybe it is time to write a post about a day trip to Georgetown!
or a day trip to Charleston!
what I CRAVE though is a weekend trip to the mountains… can’t really make that a day trip though!
Sound off below– where are you headed?

We’ve been chilling out here in Charleston and watching football this weekend
. Clay went for a bike ride and I went for a run, just trying to stay cool mostly! Does not feel like September with all this heat
Wow. I guess I’m the boring one. With it being opening weekend for college football, I plan on making myself comfortable on the couch and fully indulge myself. No other plans than to see just how much football I can watch as humanly possible
might throw some steaks and burgers on the grill~ other than that we’ll just be chillin’ here
Heading to the beach for the weekend and back on Monday morning to work the radio (WJMX970)- should be fun, fun, fun!!
We’ve got a family cook out in Pamplico on Saturday, but other than that, I hope I’m heading nowhere fast. I hope I’m able to stay in my PJ’s all day long & just relax! In all reality, I’ll be working on work stuff most of the day probably. I’ve got a big stack of stuff I’ve got to enter into a program, and I’ll do it faster from home.
Happy Labor Day Everyone!
I don’t have any Labor Day plans which is sad, but I hope that we can take a day trip at least one day over the weekend.
All depends on the weather, but you gave some good options. Georgetown and Charleston are two of my FAVORITES! IF the weather cooperates, Florence after Five will be a good start to this long weekend!!!
Well we were thinking of doing a day trip to the beach too…Ms Flossip, Sea Captain’s is our favorite there
We love going to Georgetown too but our favorite restaurant there, Goat Island Grill closed
But traffic might be bad with the “last w/e of summer” so I think we are going to do things around town. Might take a walk through Lynches River Park..love to walk on the boardwalk through the woods and take our kayaks. Or along the Florence Trail, do some geocaching to new places but definately something outdoors. Monday we usually just bbq for us or if anyone wants they come and join us, there’s always enough. Its nice sometimes to just hang around especially when there’s an extra day with no work!
It sounds like The Flossip has better plans than me. I wonder if I see her blue hat leaving town, could I catch a ride and she not notice?
I always cap off the summer by spending Labor Day at my parents pool. Here’s hoping the weather cooperates!
