Tickets go on sale September 24, 2012 to see “Fiddler on the Roof” at the FMU PAC. I have actually never seen this show, and really want to go!
One of the great works of American Musical Theatre, Fiddler on the Roof is the story of a father who must choose between his daughters’ happiness and the beloved Jewish religious traditions that keep the outside world at bay. Filled with a rousing, heartwarming score, including Tradition, Matchmaker, Matchmaker, If I Were A Rich Manand Sunrise, Sunset, no other musical has so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an electrifying and unforgettable experience. Relive the tradition!
The FMU PAC website has more information as well as links to some of the musical selections.

I was in Fiddler in college (as the youngest daughter…a ten year old!) and I still sing the songs all the time. Love the score and it’s a fantastic, moving story. My husband and I got it from Netflix recently and I cried…twice! I definitely recommend this one, Flossip.
I saw it in NC last year with Topol (Tevye from the movie) and was amazed at how spry he was and how well he played the character in his “advanced” age. While the show that will be at the FMUPAC will undoubtedly be great, nothing could beat seeing IN PERSON the Tevye we all know.
