Baseball and Softball with the City of Florence

Registration starts today for the following youth sports within the City of Florence Parks and Recreation Department:

Baseball – For ages 5-14 the cost is $40, $35 if they’ve played a sport with the City in 2013. For ages 15-19, the cost is $45. (All participants must be in the City of Florence boundaries)

Softball – The cost is $40, $35 if they’ve played a sport with the City in 2013.

The age cutoff for Baseball is May 1, 2013. Their age as of April 30, 2013 will be their playing age. For the 15-19 Dixie Majors Program, the participant cannot turn 20 before August 1, 2013.

The age cutoff for Softball is December 31, 2012. Their birthday as of that day will be their playing age. Ages 5 – 18 can sign up.
To register, please come up to the Barnes Street Activity Center, located at 513 Barnes Street. Our hours of operation are 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday thru Friday. If you need any additional information, feel free to email or call me. Thanks and I hope we see you soon!

(It aggravates me to no end that you can register online with the County in that great computer system, but not the City. You have to GO to the office to register.)

Flossip, you have some pull in this town. What do we have to do to get some adult league rec sports going? Softball, flag football, ultimate frisbee, something!
