This is such a great event to support families affected by Autism that will be held in Florence on March 9, 2013. You still have time to register during the cheaper Early Bird period–if you register by tomorrow! I’ve done multiple runs in Florence, and I am intrigued at the start/finish at Palmetto Peddler and winding through the Rail Trail– I’ve run the Rail Trail before, and this will be nice!

“This is the first annual Pacing for Pieces Music Half Marathon & 5k run/walk to celebrate all the families that have been affected by Autism. The proceeds of the race will go toward helping families receive financial help with treatments and therapies that are not covered by insurance. A nonprofit organization, Vital Interventions Accessible (VIA) was formed to help make these therapies and treatments more accessible. The race will start and finish at The Palmetto Peddler winding through beautiful neighborhoods and The Rail Trail. Enjoy the bands, food, and fun for all, along with providing supporting a great cause!”

Even better– thanks to Carolina Running Company– you can Register online!

I think this race is going to draw a very large crowd from surrounding areas– be a part of this great event!

Seems like a really fun race! Hopefully this gets lots of registrants (I’ve heard it has so far) and becoming an annual thing, Florence needs a good half marathon race.
