Where oh where does Flossip go?

I had dinner tonight with a friend and we discussed that sometimes anonymity keeps me from telling you where and when I actually go somewhere so that you don’t figure out who I am…

Unfortunately, that means I don’t always tell you about all of the fun things I have done in a given week. I have been super busy at work lately (The real world work, that helps me pay for internet and all…) but I have still had some good meals this week.

Victors Bistro has been SUPER busy at lunchtime.  I think Benton Dargan coming on board was a fantastic decision.  I have actually been twice this week.  Once I had the soup/sandwich combo– Benton’s cream of broccoli soup and a half french dip.  I wish the soup cup was just a wee bit bigger, but this meal is definitely a fave.

I had lunch with my mom there as well, she ordered a hamburger and I had to have the cheeseburger.  It was truly a delicious, juicy cheeseburger– I was very impressed!

THEN, I went to Redbone one night for appetizers and happy hour– and discovered the most fabulous appetizer:

BLEU CHEESE POTATO CHIPS Hand cut potato chips, fried crisp then tossed with crumbled Bleu cheese and scallions with a side of our Sweet Vidalia Onion Vinaigrette. 8.75.

OH MY GOODNESS.  I love this!  I shared it with a friend and I really wanted to steal the plate and keep it ALL FOR MYSELF.

In order to burn off all these calories, I am pretty sure I will be doing the Brighter Days 5 or 10k.   It winds through Dargans Pond and the Clemson Research Center… sounds lovely.

Now, what is for lunch tomorrow?

I ran that 10K last year. It’s advertised as a trail, but it’s really a dirt road. Not a PR course, but definitely not a trail like the Polar Bear run trail. I remember there were lots of signs to denote corn fields and I kept thinking they were mile marker signs. There’s a festival afterward which makes for a pretty fun day.

I always liked the bread and butter they bring to the table at Redbone. I never made it out to lunch or brunch at Victor’s though, if they still have brunch. I hope they do. Everywhere here does!

I’m having lunch at the Country Club tomorrow. I’ve been at my company for 5 years this month, and they take us out to eat there for an anniversary luncheon. ACS Technologies is the best place to work in town, hands down! (In my opinion of course).
