Its late and I am just now getting around to figuring out whats going on in the Pee Dee this weekend, forgive me. Unless you live under a significantly large boulder you probably know it is tax free weekend in South Carolina. There will be a lot of merchants taking advantage of this and creating some great sales and purchasing opportunities.

For example, the Home Builders Association will host their annual Pee Dee Home Show at Magnolia Mall on Friday, August 7th – Sunday, August 9th.

Tomorrow is the Black Family Expo at Iola Jones Park.

There is a Car show at billy hardee home for boys in Darlington tom. from 10- 2. Registration 9am. Spectators free if you have a car to enter $20.

Garage Sales:
Yard sale tomorrow. Crickentree neighborhood 7 am til ??? ..Everything must go!

Huge “Scrapbook Yard Sale” tomorrow on Chaucer Dr. off of 3rd loop (street address should be in the paper)

There will be a garage sale at 606 McKeithan Road florence 29501.

Why is it that Shooky’s Deli is the only local restaurant on restaurant.com? Seems like all local restaurants should be taking advantage of this site. I have used it with success before. Plus, they have really good deals right now:

So, I finally stumped you all for at least a few minutes on my last post.
Gary was the first person to get the answer, and he almost got it correct. Pluvlaw helped fill in the rest.

Everyone thought it was new construction at Celebration or out across from Carolinas– no and no! That my friends is (hopefully) the new face of downtown. It will be a police substation and a barber shop.

I have been driving past Miguel’s for some time now. I could not quite figure out what cuisine it was, and for some reason I just wasn’t sure I wanted to try it. A friend called the other night and was on her way to Miguel’s. “Its kind of like Town house, but cheaper!”

Hmmm. Cheaper? I’ll try it. I went last night and I had a cheeseburger and Mr. Flossip had the chicken fajitas. 16.73 for a cheeseburger box with a salad and the chicken fajita dinner– so it could have been less. I just did take out, but I actually went in to order. The service was excellent, the staff was nice.

My cheeseburger and the onion rings were VERY good. I also had a side greek salad that I really enjoyed. The greek dressing was a little tangy for my taste, but the salad was nice and fresh… I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed the salad.

Mr. F gave the chicken fajitas a big thumbs up as well.
